Rooted in Faith
At Christian Roots Academy, we nurture young minds from ages 3 to 18, in 5 classrooms - each tailored with a Christian emphasis allowing them to grow their education at their pace amongst their peers.
Each classroom hosts about 10 students.
Seeds & Sprouts are currently open and enrolling (ages from 3 to 9).
Oaks, Forest, and Harvest will be opening in the near future (serving ages 9-18) and a waitlist is being formed.
Founders
Sofia grew up in New York and moved to Texas with her family as a young teen. She later moved to Denton with her husband, Cody, and stepson. Now together they have two daughters, Grace and Suri. Sofia graduated from Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and taught K-3rd grade for LISD for over ten years. Although she loved teaching at a public school, she was excited to start her own private school (CRA) and teach about Jesus.
Cody was born and raised in Texas. He has three children and is married to his lovely wife, Sofia. Although he worked in sales most of his adult career, he later became a certified life coach and ordained minister. He has always felt called to serve the kingdom of God and has had the opportunity to serve in ministry for over a decade where he quickly realized that he had the most fun and passion for Kids Ministry. He was so excited to join his wife and start CRA!
Two programs, one loving structure.
Seeds — Age 3 - 5
Sprouts — Ages 5 - 9
A gentle introduction to structured learning. Three to Five-year-olds build classroom etiquette, early literacy & reading readiness, number sense, math concepts, and social skills within a warm, faith-filled classroom where Jesus is woven into every lesson.
A focused experience that builds the academic and character foundations children need. Lessons include Language Arts, Math, and Foreign Language through an online program allowing them to fill in any gaps in their learning and advance at their pace. We don’t start a student in a “grade-level” we simply use an evaluation test to see what they know and start where they are.

Start children off on the way they should go.
Intentional rhythm, every morning.
Morning discovery, worship, and lessons — children arrive into a warm, familiar routine that opens with God's word and a teacher who makes learning fun.
Guided learning blocks cover all subjects needs for each age including literacy, math, and biblical concepts side by side. Hands-on activities, small-group instruction, and play-based learning fill the structured hours.
Our daily rhythm is built on that promise. Structure and play, friendship and faith — not competing, but woven together from when they open the door to the last goodbye.
Open play, exploration to learn, and building friendships through social interactions — children leave having been seen, loved, and taught something real.
Christian is not just a word, it's an understanding. We help build on biblical principles helping each child to know God and talk about What they believe and Why.
